Olli, That is true. Let's get the lenses in hand first! I'm driving around with clear plastic food wrap taped to my blinkers since the plastics manufacturer managed to misplace the originals I gave him.

But Simon J's email about his experience in Wales caused me to look into this yesterday, thinking ahead, and I discover I have the same problem.

Are you using Euros in Finland?

Dan, yep, we're using euros in here - made the switch jan 1. 2002 along the other eleven nations (Euro countries = Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Ireland, Italy, Austria, Greece, Luxemburg, Portugal, France, Germany and Finland)

Iceshark,

What about an international money order (in USD). Not too pricey, but there might be some small cost associated on Olli's side to cash it. You could add that cost to the total money order value, and still might come out significantly under the $25 charge you are being quoted.

Tom, yeah, I'll let Olli tell me what is the best way to do this ... a US Postal Money Order is pretty cheap and if he can convert that to Euros cheap, maybe that is the way to go. Or maybe if his bank is more reasonable on fees, I can just send him a personal USD check. Or like Hans suggested, I will just buy some Euro currency, insure the envelope and send it to him. In any event he is doing this as a favor for me so I need to cover all his costs and make him whole.
