Default After 1.5 years I finally got aroud to waxing my S2, so

I picked up a new random orbital buffer from Sears, some wax and polish (most of that stuff didnt make it from NY to CO). Took off four of the six gravel guards with new ones on the way....

And now this is the car with 72k miles a brand new clutch, recent belts and wp, cam tensioner pad, M030 Konis, H-4s, like new lloyd mats, Schnell short shifter & new boot that nobody wanted to give me 10k for a few weeks ago.

I would have taken the pictures outside but it started raining.

no, not sure. i am going to get the little rust fixed and then see how i feel. i am torn. This is a weekend DE toy, but it isnt as 'perfect' as i want for my 'toy'. i want something more 'investment grade' while this is an awesome daily driver - which is what i bought it as. my gray S2 was investment grade.

Great thing about Denver - dont like the weather wait 20 minutes. It is now gorgeous and sunny.

Looks good Tom, I can count all the S2's I've ever seen on one hand, and living in soCal that says just how rare they are.

Hey Tom

I see you already picked up the Vette !

best

Joe

PS - the S2 looks great! Owning one myself...I can say 1st hand that a well sorted and documented one for $10k is a better deal than an unsorted one for 1/2 that amount....

looks sweet Tom.

It's amazing what waxing and buffing will do. There really is some truth to 'That'll buff right out."

BTW are there racing stripes on the hood of your BMW Cab??? Or is that some sort of crazy reflection?

Racing stripes. The PO had dark skin and parked in the wrong section of Queens NY a few days before I answered his ad, and he was rewarded with a gigantic key across the hood.

I am too crazy to get it painted and see the difference in the paint so i decided to just cover em up. and I wanted to ride out a colorado winter so i would have to do it and live with the mismatch, but this winter didnt damage the hood enough to justify a repaint.

A local sign shop sold me three pieces of vinyl which had six big stripes total for $25. I destroyed the first pair because i forgot to spray the water first, and the third pair is in the 944 waiting for a project.

here is a picture. you can see the flaws by the kidneys, but for $17 and a lazy saturday who cares.
