'86 951 92k miles, in the shop for yearly checkup and AC fix. Everything is perfect and in working condition, the PO's kept the interior absolutely perfect, no fading, no tears, amazing. Only major repairs have been cv's and fuel pump. Just a wonderful car. The driving pleasure is very high.

121,xxx miles on my '89 S2. In March, I had major maintenance done (timing belt, cam chain guide/tensioner, seals, gaskets, plugs/wires/dist. cap...etc).
My mechanics and instructors at DE's say it's one of the smoothest running 944S2's they've seen.
Maintenance has its benefits!

I've got 237,xxx on the odometer....which broke over 2 years ago I'd put my baby at somewhere around 260K+. Other than timing belts, she's never had any engine work.
However, I've put in a new clutch, shift linkage, steering pump, three A/C compressors, and just blew out my secong tranny. The interior is in great shape. Having said all of that, I wouldn't trade her for anything.

'87 NA with 72K miles
Everything is original except all maintenance items that wear out: Engine mounts, Clutch, Belts, Hoses, Tires. Everything else is "fun stuff"

Had my '88 na from 55K to 110K (6 years). Bought the 968 2 years ago with ~55K, now have just over 70K. The 944 had no major problems, and far fewer minor ones than the 968.
Jim, BTW, the Toyota 4x4 truck has about 57K on it, if anybody cares... needs a rear center u-joint...

1984 NA 127,500 miles. Paid $3600 at 85,000. One clutch, two timing belts, and something to stop and engine leak, About $3000 stuffed in. It could go to Cali and back no sweat (and just may this summer). Uses no oil. Castrol GTX from day one.
It's starting to show it's age and my wallets getting scared...To replaced it with a car of similar quality I'd have to spend well over $5000 (for, say, a perfect '93 16V GTI). It always hurts to drop cash on a car, but with these suckers, it's less so...The timing belt sucks, and a $1500 clutch is no picnic, but whenever I get something fixed it's like "Ah, back to normal and ready for driving! How refreshing!" instead of "Oh, you again. Minus $400."
Except no substitute.

Bought mine 2 years ago ($1000 ). It had 164,000 miles on it. Needed some body work (still does) and a lot of mechanical work. I have completed most of the mechanical work (that I planned for) and will roll over 166,000 mile in the next few days. Car is a blast to drive. (Only needs more power). I'll be driving it in its first autocross this Saturday in Detroit. Should be interesting to see how it works. Once I get things sorted and put some better tires on it - I might start looking for some track days or time trials.

I just crossed the 150,000 mark.
Major repsirs include replacing a cracked cylinder head and transmission.
The engine seems to be running very strong. Body, suspension, interior, seem to be holding up very well.

230,000 exactly where it sits and still running strong. That is KM of course.
Mike, it isn't that I put a 5ft pry bar through your cat, it is that you need to quit buying suspension parts and get a muffler!

87 944NA, 135,000. New clutch at 100,000 miles and that's about it. Leaking oil from just about every gasket(it's on the list of things to do), otherwise it idles perfectly and runs strong.
