The Power Steering reservoir cap on my 951 is leaking badly as evidenced by the residue coming down the front of it. Basically every time I brake hard, fluid comes out the top. I noticed the cap has no o-ring or seal of any kind. Just wondering if I could use any generic o-ring on there. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

When you put a new one in, make sure the old one isn't hiding up there. It's pretty thin.
A new one is about a buck (I got mine at PartsHeaven), and since the same Zahnrad Fabrik tank is used on just about every BMW with PS, it shouldn't be TOO hard to find.
