I was driving to school today, and after letting off the gas the car started to hop twice. The speed of the car does not seem to matter, nor what gear it is in. Every time it does this, the gear shifter seems to move quite a bit back and forth. Is my clutch shot?

 

If the rubber center went, you will have lash getting on and off the throttle.

All of a sudden you will have a lot more freeplay in the driveline.
