Replacing Konis Under Warranty?
My Konis are beat. Previous owner purchased them in '03 and I have that receipt. They have a lifetime warranty, to the original purchaser, for as long as they own the car. Koni requires you send in the car's current registration. Perhaps you can see where I'm going with this. Anyone ever come up with a "work around" in this situation?

In most scenarios, a lifetime warranty covers the component from a failure. NOT being simply worn out. I had this happen with a set of shocks on my Baja Ranger 4x4. They were physicaly leaking at the shaft, but because they were not exploded, the warranty was no good. They DID work with me, but I learned that you can take a **** in a box and slap a warranty on it, but all your getting is a warrantied piece of ****.
KONI may be different, but I know with James Duff, Monroe, KYB, and other manufacturers, it HAS to be a system failure of the part to be considered defective.
