As of today I have accidentally hit every single steering wheel mounted control by accident. At my first autoX at Tobay Beach I hit the turn signal and wipers by accidents. Today I hit the criuse control and all of a sudden i started accelerating into a turn! Whoops! quick tap of the brake fixed that one. Why are the controls so close to the wheel dammit. I have yet to honk the horn, that is more difficult with the 944. <img src="graemlins/xyxwave.gif" border="0" alt="[bigbye]" />

Hey teklord: thanks for taking all those pics! I found three of me! (Red 944S2 with the "PORSCHE" lens between the tailights, and Yellow oval with #42 on the side). So when are you going to get a P-car yourself, instead of using your brothers? hehe...

All I can say is that the rain really killed it for the even run group! The odds got 7 dry runs in, while we even folks only got 4.

So Dave (who beat me with his N/A by 0.25 sec) I want a rematch! Maybe at Autox2 in May at Meadowlands...BTW: I was working station three in the morning, and you are very, very smooth out there: nice job.

Teklord, Great pics (none of me ). I think I know where you hit the CC stalk.
Zoltan, 5/5 it is, I'll be looking for a half second this time . You looked pretty smooth yourself, nice line too. you should have kept going on the last run (before the first rerun) with the cone out of the way you could have rounded out the 2 little turns into a long sweeper (can't be penalized for a cone that ain't there )
Don't mind the rain, it's a good learning experience, I would have liked to get a lap or two in on the wet course.

I actually had a dream that I own a much nicer black 951(if thats possible) and Adrial & I were competing with mods. I'm going to have to do some serious thinking when the time comes to buy my next car. We need a bigger garage. If my mom gets a Boxster I could autocross that

Nice meeting you Z-man, Dave. I only got 4 dry runs in, but after getting the hang of it I definetely could have beat my dry time, they lost my 7th time Can't wait for the next AutoX.

Give it time, NNJR is usually very slow to update their site. I've seen anywhere from the next day to over a week to get the results up, one to three days is the norm.

True, without the cone there, I could have set up for the sharp left-hander after that shute better, but the downed cone already caught my eye, and distracted me. But true, that run would have been faster than my last run of the day! Oh well, what can ya do!

I don't mind driving in the rain: it is a good learning experience! I've been out on the track twice already in the rain (Lime Rock and Pocono!) You really are able to feel what's going on with your car at slower speeds.

What fun it is to play with these cars! See ya on the 5th!

Maybe it's a good thing you didn't keep going, you looked at least .3 sec quicker up till then.

hey, don't feel so bad.

I am the king of hitting the wipers. That is more fun to turn off in a hard corner than something less important like the blinker. It is really distracting though.

You know when you drive a 924 nobody ever takes your picture

Nice shots. E-mail them to Bob Michaelson and he might put them on the NNJR site.

Al, If it means anything to you: when you line up at the start, I take notice!

Granted you're running in improved (ie suspension/engine mods), but anyone who can go through autox as fast as you do DESERVES some attention! With or without mods!

Maybe you can graft a 944 turbo front nose to your car! hehe....
