Wheel spacer source
Looking for some 1¼" (i think that's about the size I need) hubcentric bolt-on spacers to fit some (52 offset) 968 rims on my (23 offest) car... So far cheapest I've found new are here: http://www.boothedesign.com/spacers.html
Anyone have a good used set or a different source?

By far the cheapest I've found. No 1.25" spacers currently, though:

I got mine from
http://www.vertexauto.com/
They were very helpful and even combined shipping on several items at the last minute the day they were shipping out.

Does anyone have any hands-on feedback for how spacers affect handling? I realize the wider stance will be a positive, but what about steering geometry? Visually, my fronts could stand to be bumped out, but I would only do it to improve handling.

I run spacers on my car and, without power steering, it adds a bit of resistance to the steering and a slight tramline effect. Not bad, but noticeable. The wider stance definitely feels good at speed around sweeping bends - but to tell the truth, the improvements I made to the rollbars and the rear dampers totally eclipse any improvement in track.
On the other hand, the car *looks* a lot better...
The other thing is it makes working on the car slightly tedious sometimes. Over the weekend I replaced the front discs and pads, and checked the hubs etc - you have to remove the spacers to get at things and it's not a huge amount of fun.
