Sounds good Damian, now I have even more reason to try to make it. Andy K, you reading this? He would be a great benchmark (read, low-mileage, good condition, almost completely stock).

Count me in if I get my car back in running shape. Maybe we can get a convoy from Jersey.

Perhaps another place to consider would be Adrenalin Motorsports in Auburn, MA.

It is a VW/Audi tuner shop that has a dyno. I'm not sure what make/model of dyno, but the place and its dyno is fairly new (i.e. they moved here sometime last summer I believe). I took a look around once when my future brother-in-law (with a 2001 GTI) stopped in to browse and ask some questions. It seemed like a nice setup.

They are located right off the MA turnpike, at exit 10.

I don't know if they would be willing to run a dyno day for Porsche guys, but it might be worth looking into.

Anyway, just a thought. Hope that helps.

Jim

Adrial,
<img src="graemlins/offtopic.gif" border="0" alt="[offtopic]" /> the porsche post is in the mail

Back on topic. i dont think i could convince my wrench to drive much north of stamford. Milford is bout as far as i can go with 2 cars unless i convince she who must be obeyed. but then if she comes you guys cant - or at least wont want to cuss and fart if shes there!

Yeah, Milford is my cutoff point too, after that (2.5 hours) it just isn't worth the distance to me.

simon,
i wanna take the RX7 and the 944. I sorta convinced my wrench to take one. but he has to answer to a higher authority too (S.W.M.B.O.).

I see Dave who also has a SWMBO put 2.5 hours as is his cutoff too.

If i dyno i have to detail her aurora the next day etc.

It's not so much her Tom, I just don't see driving 3+ hours each way to dyno the car. That, and I've only put 10k on it in 3.5 years, so 500 miles for a dyno, doesn't make much sense. One of the reasons I didn't check into Bodymotion, was I didn't think the CT guys would be into it.
Any word from Deman yet? They are a bit more centrally located.

My S2 is stock but I'd be interested in knowing what it's putting out before adding any minor enhancements. Let's hope it's close to the city though because otherwise it would be too far for me to drive!

I'm open on weekends!

Fpena, this is one of the older of the 2 or 3 threads on the subject.

We decided on Deman motorsport in Nyack, NY...just over the tappan zee on the NJ side.

$100 for 2 runs, more if you need tuning.
So far we have 12 definites though...and they can only guarantee 10 will get done. We'll be starting at 10AM on June 8th. You are of course welcome to come...I'll put your name down on the roster as the 13th person if you want?

The roster is here: <a href="http://members.rennlist.com/adrial/Porsche%20dyno%20day.doc" target="_blank">http://members.rennlist.com/adrial/Porsche%20dyno%20day.doc</a>

Adrial,
Gimme an address and directions please.

My S2 is stock too. I'm also curious as to what it has before any modifications. I have a K&N on order from paragon. Im hoping to do a run, put in the K&N and see if their hype is bullsh*t or not.

Adrial,

You can put me in as a maybe. Since they can only reserve 10 spots I wouldn't want to bump anyone else's since I'm a latecomer. I may just stop by to see how much power everyone else is putting out too!

Thanks!
