Post New vacuum diagram for reference

I see that the sites which carried copies of the vacuum diagram from the workshop manual are no longer up. Since the sites are no longer up I decided to produce my own version of the vac diagram and I broke it out a little further since the factory diagram is monochrome and also overlays several components making it somewhat difficult to read.

Cheers,

Thanks for the positive feedback guys. As I looked at the diagram again today I realised that there are a couple of things that do not appear in the factory diagram or on mine.

1. The Vacuum reservoir next to the battery
2. The vacuum controlled heater valve
3. The black & blue check valve that is part of the brake booster vac system.

These things were either missing on my 944 or messed up. Can anyone tell me where the factory tapped these items into the vacuum system ? If/when I get some answers OI will add them to the diagram I just made up.

Thanks,
Wayne

SATX, sorry I do not have the answers you're looking for but I wanted to point something else out to you.

The routing for the Blow off valve is incorrect on your diagram, it should be downstream of the throttle, not the otherway around.

I am not sure I follow you, the blow off valve is located as per the factory diagram. The inlet to the BOV is located between the intercooler and the throttle and the exhaust of the BOV dumps into the Jboot in front of the turbo inlet.

Wayne.

Ahmet, you got the CBV inlet line (olive) mixed up with the vacuum control line (black).

The only difference I see with my car is that the KLR has only a single hard plastic line coming from the intake manifold. The diagram seems to indicate a T connection. Also the other line coming off that same banjo bolt has two T connectors in my car; one near the banjo and one at the front going to the fuel-dampener and the CBV. But functionally, I guess it would be the same.

The diagram look correct and frankly, is easier to read than the official Porsche manual. Good job Wayne!

Danno, I see that you are correct as is Wayne's diagram. I apologize for the mistake.

It looks like my vacuum lines were mis-matched at some point. I have the intake manifold off anyway, I might fix this while I'm at it. Thanks for pointing it out.
Ahmet
