924S back to riding on rails
I've got an '88 924S with 52k- looks like the balljoints are bad so I'm going to replace(thankfully I have the older steel A arms.) I want to upgrade to koni's I think, what else should/could I do at the same time to save some effort, maybe all the bushings? What's a full set of bushings cost for the front end? any thoughts on economical ways to return Dr. P back to it's glorious handling are greatly appreciated. thanks

Control arm bushings in either OE rubber or improved Poly-rubber (Weltmeister), upper strut bushing (you're lucky, with the inexpensive donut), sway bar bushings.
Check the wheel bearings and tie-rods before ordering too - maybe they could use a little help as well.
Good Luck!
