I saw your post about the kit from Europe (alberts or whatever..) How much is the rear 968 style bumper for? plus shipping? Have u given up completely with them? Do you know of any places here in the states that make 968 bumpers for 944/951s?

I'm pretty much dropping the whole 968 conversion deal. The shipping cost as much as the front bumper ($325 is what he wanted to charge me when we worked up the credit card order) Which was 75 less than the bumper. The rear was just over $400. I don't know if I can justify that expense just to have a unique look. Michael Adkins and I are trying to figure out a cheaper way using the Military Postal System (He's Air Force and I'm Army) and if were successful, I'll put all the info out for everyone. I'm also going to call UPS after Monday when I return from Kosovo to see what their rate is as Robert (944LT1) has used them with some success.
I'll keep you posted (if you sell me the turbo nose and valance :0) )

I don't know of anyone who makes this kit in the states. I planned on buying it and sending it to someone like IRC or AIR to copy the mold since he was very uncooperative about a group buy. He also warned me that the rear conversion required a lot of cutting and welding and was not for the novice to attempt. I was really excieted when I first saw it but in dealing with him and in retrospect, I think I'd prefer to just buy the turbo nose and valance and keep it a 944. That's just my opinion but I'll still help you if your interested in buying it. Just remember that when it comes time to sell me your turbo conversion.

James, why don't you just get a bumper from the guy in Germany and we'll all chip in. Then you can have copies made of the part and it'll be much less of a pain in the ***.
