Statics Book 944 Sighting
so I'm sitting here in my room, it's 2:45am and I haven't started the homework that's due at 8:30am. So I open my statics book and much to my surprise I see a somewhat crude drawing of a 944. I had to do a double take..I thought my boredom in statics had evolved to the point in which it actually affected my reality, but it's definitely there. So here is a pic....(if I can do this right)
p.s. I hope this hasn't already been posted

Yes, I'm also angry at the fact that someone would drive there precious 944 over a damn curb, especially considering they've already retrofitted the damn thing with 12 inch wheels (outside diameter no less!)
Statics...uhg..I remember that crap from Engineering school <cringe>...glad I'm not an engineer no more!

Alternate question:
Once the driver makes it over the said curb how many Hallaluah's will he be saying as he now realizes that he needed those calipers that he took off to allow clearance for his special edition 12 inch wheels. (B) What will the body shop charge him for a replacment front end, new rocker panels (from said curb), and putting the rear bumper back on the damn car in the picture. (C) Will the driver claim this on his insurance, use spray cans of black to respray his car and use the money to buy 17" hollow Turbo Twists plus a John Andersen 3.0 motor so that he may go to the next DE.
Now, those are the stats I want to here.

I know its early for you guy's and I have had lunch already but...
The assumption is 12 inch RADIUS.
The engineers reply sould be:
- "From practical experience: curb height can be 6 inch with luck and 5 inch safe".
Justification of statement:
- Asuming there is an relation to picture and reality, and damage to the body is to be avoided: the front spoiler is gone if you try more

I dunno.. I've seen some ricers where I think the wheel radius was equal to or less than the tire radius...
Jim, huh?

Slammin around in a 944 with Dubs + 4!
Besides that, it's always cool to see a 944 pop up where you least expect it!

the Statics book it came from is called Vector Mechanics for Engineers-Statics and amusingly, one of the authors' first name is Ferdinand.....heck his last name is Beer.....that's a pretty funny last name for an author of a college textbook. I also saw that there's a second drawing of a 944 on an earlier page (38 in case someone has the book) but it's very similar to the one I already posted.

gotta love those physics problems that ask you to make ridiculous assumptions... like ignoring the compliance of a tire.
"now if we approximate the human body as a sphere..."
but this all reminded me of a funny picture they have up in the cafeteria here at work. someone must have the 944 shape in a clip art library or something... porsche should sue their ***** off.
