I am getting ready to fix my rear hatch on my 944, and was wondering if anyone knew where I could get the 3m product that everyone has used?

Any auto/body and automotive paint supply store should have it. They may keep it behind the counter. You could also find it online, I am sure.

You may also want to find out what you can use for clean up and purchase it. The stuff is a mess and does not come off for anything!!! Fortunately for me, I only got it on my crappy tshirt

What is this stuff. Is this to clean the window. I am wondering because my car had window tint everywhere but the glue is still on the window, especially the back.

 

You may want to try acetone (sp?), it may be a little messy at first, but it should do the job.

 

That is, you can use acetone to clean the wildow film glue.

 

There was another recent post about using the proper primer. I did the repair a few months ago and had it come apart already. I plan to search out the primer to do it once more. Apparently the adhesive is designd to bond to the opaque coating on the edges of most widshields, and our rear windows don't have this.
