Post DME Chip

One of my friends has an ATX 944. Its an 86. I was wondering if the chip he bought will work. It is a DME chip.

The DME you are speaking of is Porsches' acronym for the ECU(Electronic Control Unit), it stands for Digital Motor Electronics. To the best of my knowledge Porsches 24 pin EPROM chip which is installed in your friends 86' DME will not fit your neon. But I am pretty sure a a performance ECU upgrade exsists for your car.

Ok my friends car is Porsche 944 ATX. I don't think they made Neons in 1986. He has a 1986 Porsche 944 ATX. ATX meaning automatic transmission. I wasn't asking about my neon on the rennlist boards. Thats what Neons.org is for.

Talking

In order to not cause the early arrival of apocolypse and the end of the world as we know it today, "Porsche" and "automatic transmission" should not be spoken in the same breath...
