Post Question on coilovers...Skip?

ok so my car is fitted with Koni Yellows on all 4 corners and Weltmeister 200# springs up front. I can't get 300# springs that will just replace those it seems, so if I want to move up I guess I need to go with Paragon's coilover kit.

My question is, can I get the coilover kit to work with my existing Konis? I don't have the inserts, they're the full front Koni struts that were made before they discontinued them I guess.

Dave, I'm not absolutely sure but I think you cannot use the coilover sleeves over the caps on those Konis. However, let's be sure... if you can, take a picture of the top cap - also, measure the cap.

I know the 86 sealed Konis CAN use them, but they are a slightly different design.

Shorty, the OE Konis for that application are not rebuildable. The current replacement is the 8641-1414S (cut-n-drill insert)

These aren't OEM Konis that came on the car..they're aftermarkets that the PO put on at some point. I'll have to measure it the next time I put it up on the rack and post a picture of them too. thanks!
