Post gas cap

What a coincidence having just read about someone else failing the new New Jersey gas cap vacuum test on this forum, I failed it too. I purchased a replacement ($29) but have to move the lock tumbler to the new one. Does anyone know how to do this?

When mine failed the local emission test, I just bought a cheap cap from the local parts store and then put my original cap back on after I passed.

Heck, you can also just by the rubber O-ring from the dealer for $1 or so, and the cap will make a better seal. Maybe you can still take the cap back and get a refund? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />
