How much Rust do you have????

16 years, first in NY, then CT, last 4 years in NJ, it doesn't go indoors unless it's broken. It's been hit 2 or 3 times (the first 2 impacts may have been the same accident, front right fender and passenger door) the most recent was technically a total loss but if you don't buy a NEW trans from the dealer you can save $8000 on the repair.
I mention the history because I DO have a small spot of rust, it's on the passenger door, just at the top of the BSM, a cluster of 3 bubbles each about half the size of a BB. I don't know the history of the damage to the door but it has been repainted so I'm guessing that there was minor damage at some point (not enough that the door skin was replaced) that damaged the galvanizing.
