Default What resistance should ac compressor have?

** new question at bottom**

Bypassed the pressure switch, AC is not turning on. It turned on earlier this week. I think I killed it today.

All I've done is, remove and put back every fuse, and relay.
Only thing out of the normal is I tried the AC relay in the fan blower relay spot and blew a fuse (don't ask).

The defroster button is inoperable now as well.

I always have fuse physical connection issues with corrosion or loose connection. I don't see any fuse for AC, is there any other involved? Thanks. (ac light in climate control is not lighting up either).

Really not trying to be an *******, but there are 433021640174065038721046 topics on this already.

Do the advanced search.

(You blew a fuse jumping the pressure switch....I did the same thing. Check ALL the climate control fuses)

It's the fuse labeled as heater (number 17) thats the problem. Everytime I plug a new fuse in and turn on either the ac or the defrost, it blows it.

Any ideas?

I did search.. This seems to be a fluke electrical issue.. now that I know a fuse maybe it can be more help.

Does anyone know the resistance the AC compressor should have to check the windings?

thanks

I've never heard of that kind of problem.

I take it you're replacing it with the right amp fuse? (just checking)

I would say the pressure switch is bad.....If you unplug it, and jumper the wires together, does everything work fine then? Just take the pressure switch out of the mix. With the switch wires jumped, the AC compressor should come on aswell.

If it all works, then get a new pressure switch.
