I think he should donate it to me: I promise to drive the HELL out of the thing, after I got the belts done!

it's immaculate, but i agree with everybody else here - especially sidvicious. what a disappointing depreciation for a car that is so extravagantly clean. he didn't even bother to get his money's worth by at least driving it some.

In my mind, a high resale value (albeit less than half of the original sale price) would not justify parking the car and not driving it. but that's just me. i like to drive.

oh, and with regards to the interior (guys with 951S's can correct me), the ugly plaid interior only came with the 1000 original silver rose cars. the remainder of the cars with normal paint colors had normal interiors.

Allright, sure it is a shame to let it sit.. but let's look at the other side. It was real nice of this guy to sit on the car for 14 years so one of us could buy a brand new 50K$ car for 23K. Where else would you have that opportunity? The real problem here, other than the belts, is the depreciation sting the buyer will feel as he puts the next 45K on the car. It will drop from a 23K car to a 17K in 45,ooo miles. Ouch.. I know of a rose TS that sold in the last year or two, 7K miles for 22.5ish...immaculate. I'd say that is about what this one is worth, and someone will get a GREAT deal at that..(once the belts are done) I think we should THANK the sucker for giving us the opportunity to buy a new front engine 4 banger at 1/2 price!!
