Cat-Back Performance exhaust systems...
Hi, I've been looking and answering to a lot of my questions. I have been a 944 owner for almost 3 years now up in canada. By saying that... I am looking for a descent performance cat-back exhaust system.
I dont want to put to much money in the engine cus for now it runs awsome and that is why I am not interested in the complete system as in the Headers as well. I'm saving up to do a 968 engine swap adn trany...(in 2 years)
hehe
anyways, I would like some feedback and experiences on some systems that are out there.
Thanks
Charles

Hey there Charles!
I am currently running a stainlees steel B&B TriFlo Turbo cat-back system. I have a custom made adpater for the 3 bolt trinagle stock fange to the 4 bolt square 951 flange. I ablsolutely love it!! Awesome fit and finish quality, great deep throaty growl at idle, along with a symphonic howl and high rpm's. With no ricey (mad hornets in can) tone. I bought this system at the Hershey, PA annual swap meet for $75.00, so I could not say "no". I have also heard great responses for those who run the Speed Force Racing (SFR) cat-back, and GHL(both stainless)systems. I believe Windward Performance has the B&B for $650.00
The Bursch system (not stainless) seems to be decent, and uses a DynoMax muffler. Although I have heard of some fitament problems. However I have had no personal experience, but I hope to be installing their headers and cat-pipe in the near future.
Best of luck on the 968 eng/trans swap, keep us posted.
Take care!

Salut Charles!!
We are neighbour, I come from Aylmer.
I have also a 84 944 stock for the moment. I see that you have the suspension that I would like to put on mine. But I am uncertain about the ride it will give. It would be nice if we could eventualy meet in the summer month and I could get a ride in your car see how it feel.
Anyway, It fun to find out people from the region on the board.
Sorry I can't help you with your question, but wanted to say HI!.
