I'm using a strap wrench to remove the oil filter on the 944 & 951, but would like to get the proper 14 point cup style wrench that fits the OEM Mahle filters to torque them back to 14 lbs. No luck finding them - anyone find a METAL cup style wrench that fits? Price?? I can only find 15 pt cup wrenches.
PS: thanks to Danno <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" /> for the "plastic bag" method to catch the old filter! It really works!

I have used these on my Mahle and Mann filters:
<a href="http://www.ctatools.com/catalogs/oilfilter.pdf" target="_blank">http://www.ctatools.com/catalogs/oilfilter.pdf</a>
This is the "RiteFit" brand filter wrench. I have the A251 and the 2571 (the 2571 may no longer be available). They are both 14 point, the A251 is a little deeper than the 2571.
Looks like you can buy this on-line:
<a href="http://www.autopart.com/tools/file/part94.htm" target="_blank">http://www.autopart.com/tools/file/part94.htm</a>
The part number is "A251", price is $5.95.
This was a direct link from the "CTA" tools web site to the <a href="http://www.autopart.com" target="_blank">www.autopart.com</a> site, but it takes some work to find the exact page I list above.
Hope this helps!
