Question Water pump question

Are there two types of water pumps. One for turbo and one for the N/A 944. Also will they both wotk on the N/A if two exist? Recomendations or suggestions?? <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

i believe the story goes, there were two, the turbo one has an extra opening on it for the turbo, but since 88 the upgraded part for the na pump is the turbo pump so anyone getting a waterpump changed should go with a turbo pump (not like you can even find a NA pump) and plug the hole on it. i think its the default/only option at this point.. but maybe mechanics are still finding NA pumps and throwing them in there? i sure hope not......
