Went to replace the strut bearings and I don't have the tools I once had to do it with. I need to get one of the special wrenches tomorrow, but what size? IIRC, it is 22mm, but I want to be sure. This is the last thing holding me up to put the motor in.
(Ya, I can change them later, but since the suspension is out and right there, now is the best time)
Thanks

Hey Perry951,
It is indeed a 22 mm. I know because we're doing my friend's struts in a couple of days, and I was double-checking that I had all the right tools. So I did a test fit on my own car that has the Koni yellows. BTW, you'll need a deep socket, or a deep offset wrench.
Happy wrenching!

You should definately get a 22mm deep offset wrench. It's not possible(AFAIK) to retighten that bolt with just a 22mm deep socket because trying to do so will just cause the shock to rotate(on itself and the upper strut bearing). Ontop of the Koni insert was a 11mm nut that allowed you to hold the shock in place while tightening the 22mm nut. Its not possible to access the top of the strut with a deep socket in place. The top of the koni might have a different nut size for the turbo struts(instead of the 11m on mine), but i think you get the idea.

I have replaced them before. The fire torched the bearings, so I am replacing them again. My offset wrenches were stolen a few years ago, so I needed to pick one up. (Not wanting to spend $100 for a new set when all I need is one)
Thanks guys.
