WHERE IS THIS DAMN DRAIN PLUG ON THE BLOCK!!!!!!!

had to reply to check out my ill new avatar...

the block drain plug is on the passenger side of the block near the back and behind the exhaust manifold. here is the picture from the service manual:

in case anyone else ever digs up this post looking for the same drain plug, check out the picture in the "who has their block sleeved" thread. the one near the end (as of now) that compares the 2.5 to the 3.0 litre engines... in the lowest set of comparison shots there is a clear picture of the block drain plug on the 2.5l, although it almost looks like the 3.0 doesn't have one at all, at least not there...

Porsche deleted the drain plug in 89. Imagine my surprise before reading that little tidbit in the factory manuals <img src="graemlins/oops.gif" border="0" alt="[oops]" />
