After about 25 hours my dad and I put a 968 engine into my s2 power gains are very noticibale, it runs awesome and is very close in speed to our 951, and while we were at it we put koni yellows on and lowered it 2 inches

still to come in the next few weeks 968 wing and 951 tranny swap

Looks great. How tough was the swap? And where did you get your 968 engine?

Now it's time for a "white expansion tank" swap.

Looks great BTW!

Nice work!

Why not run in intake plumbing straight to the regular opening? Is the MAF make the intake too long to fit correctly?

Cheers!

Did you use a 968 harness and computer as well? And are you going to get it CARB inspected?

Thanks for all the feedback, the swap actually went relativley easy started saturday morning and finished sunday night, yes we used the 968 harness and computer, and yes with the MAF it wouldn't fit correctly so we had to run it through the other side where the intercooler would go. On the color it is actually a later model porsche color that was a special blend repainting the car was actually mnore work than the swap haha here are some more pics

Amen to what badger$ jsut said. I dream of putting a 968 engine in my 88 N/A all the time. Maybe if the engine goes one day I might consider it.

putting in the 951 trans will make it slower, I wouldn't do it unless you are looking for highway mpg

yaa the extra power is very noticiable it was definently worth it, and on the 951 tranny we were told the 968 could handle it, if not we were just going to switch it back out
