Manual brakes on an early 944
Would an 84 944 have decent stopping power if it ran manual brakes. What improvements could be made so it could be used reliably on the street as a daily driver.

one time i drove a 924 s where the brake booster vacuum line was disconnected, it stopped decently, just required more pressure... it should be fine, im not sure if the booster helps at all without the vacuum connected, but i was able to stop it reasonably well without the assist. as far as i know there were no mods to the car, and it was automatic so i was fighting the motor too. if you wanted you could go with some race/autocross pads for more friction, and that would help a little. i doubt you would have trouble with the manual brakes, the 944 is no tank. good luck!
