Post OT: How many of you have fought with valet's?

I would always say, "just tell me where to park it, and I'll do it". Then a argument would ensue. Or I would just stand there and WATCH them SLOWLY pull away. No one drove my baby but me!!!

But the highlight of my career there so far has to be driving the Molson Indy Viper Pace car.

either that or meeting Axl Rose and Britney Spears.

Don't go to NY Turby. Most of the lots are not self park, and they use those space saver lifts.

Luckily I was able to get on-street parking most of the time. You just have to have the stamina to be circiling the block for 45 minutes.

Glad to find out I'm not the only one that thinks this way. I've never left my car at any valet. Besides my uncle, who gave me the car, I'm the only one who gets to drive it. Except maybe for the mech. every once in a while and a friend of mine once.

Funny valet story I heard from at the local P-car dealer.
A customer just bought an 02 Twin Turbo and took it to Norman, Oklahoma where the University of Oklahoma is for an OU football game. He let a valet park it and proceeded to attend the game. The valet took the car for a "joy ride" and proceeded to hoop a curb, destroy a couple of coolant lines that run under the car and break the two front wheels and of course maul the underside of the car in general. I do not know what happened to the valet however I did see the car at the dealership where it was being repaired. I am sure the owner was quite upset though when he came back to drive his new beauty home and found a wreck.

Hey Early.

Spent a couple of weeks in Okie city when the post office in Norman was using the Segways.

Really liked driving into Norman where that Used Porsche dealer on the side of the hwy (well that had some beater Beemers too). Meant to but never stopped. Cuz I didn't see any 44's

Was cool watching the airshow off the apartment balcony. Seeing a B-2 making a slow approach was cool, and the 2 F-18's chasing a B-1.

But I geuss you see B-2's all the time.

We've got a bunch at Tinker AFB now.

I used to live by Tinker so I would see all kinds of military aircraft. However, I moved a while back to the oppsite side of town, do not really see many military planes anymore. Kind of miss them though, they were really neat to watch. The only bad part about Oklahoma is that most of the roads are straight, hard to find good twisties without driving a ways out from the city.

Tell me about it. Me and a friend drove out to Eric OK.

She said more than once "I'd eat my gun."

Your weather can be interesting though. Nice sunsets.

Other than that.....

Speaking of airplanes, my father was transferred to Shaw, AFB in SC. He's the goof colonel with glasses serving as the hospital commander. If any of you are stationed there, tell him Hi for me! Oh, be sure to rag on how his black '86 911 looks dirty next to your car! He loves that!

Sid; Did you have some connection with the Post Office, or the Segways ? I've spent some time at the Postal Training Center, both when it was on the OU campus, and in its present location, "Club Fed". I can't say much about the scenery in the Oky. City / Norman area, 'cause my mom told me "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all" But the weather can be very interesting. I thought they staged the tornados every Friday evening for entertainment.
