Post 205/55-16 or 225/50-16?

I have the 225's on front and back now - think about going back to stock factory size. I believe the 16" Fuchs on my 83 are 7" wide.
Any major pro's or con's going back to the smaller tires?
Thanks in advance,
Steve

I have 225/50s front and 245/45s rear on 16x7 front and 16x8 rear factory wheels and I like that combo. 245/45s would fit on a 7" wide wheel but probably cup a bit. What don't you like about your current setup?

The only thing that I really do not like about the 225's are:
1. They are not what Porsche recommends for these wheels on this car.
2. 205's are cheaper - hehehe

Con
smaller contact patch

Pro
lighter, cheaper

Realistically you probably won't notice the difference on the street - except to your pocket book.

Cool

I would go down to Joe's used tire mart and see if he has any 16's of any width with some life left and have four of them slapped on. I've ridden with you Steve, with you driving my '84, you won't get near the performance limits of whatever they put on !!!!
