Post Frozen Slotted Rotors --Quick Wear ?

Last July, I purchased a set of Frozen Rotors from Diversified Cryogenics along with a set of Performance Friction 97 Race pads. I have put about 10 k miles on the car and attended 1 1/2 driving schools on these rotors. My mechanic tells me that they already need replacement, as the thickness is 26.2mm. (26mm minimum) I have been using regular NAPA street pads on the street, and changing to the PF 97 pads at the drivers schools. The same set of PF 97 pads I purchased with these rotors have greater than 1/2 the material left. Why have my frozen slotted rotors worn so fast while I havent even gone through a single set of pads yet. I did the recommended break in for the rotor when I bought them as well. Any ideas ??
