what size are the fittings on oil cooler hoses
i'm going to buy a wrench tonight to remove my oil cooler hoses. i measured the fittings on the end of the hose by setting a crescent wrench to it and then measuring the opening... it looked like 31 mm to me. but pelican sells a 32 mm wrench for these lines.... anyone know if that is the correct size for an 87 turbo?

thanks for the quick reply. since that worked so well i'll ask another:
it appears that the oil cooler hoses thread onto a threaded nipple. in order to unscrew the hose without unscrewing the nipple i would like to put a wrench on there, too. via the same measurement method, i measured that as a 26mm... anyone know if that is correct or is it really a 27?

in case anyone is wondering:
the wrench sizes are 32mm and 27mm.
you can not remove the longer oil cooler hose (the one that goes the metal pipe to the upper oil cooler port) with a wrench without taking out a tie rod, which i have decided would be more difficult than removing that damned oil cooler "console" again. there goes a 1 year old $35 oil cooler seal and a solid saturday afternoon.

yes, the longer oil cooler hose can be removed without taking the oil cooler cover off! thanks very much to Tom for saving me from wasting half a day and a basically new seal!!!
the trick is that no one (not even snap on) makes big metric crows foot sockets, but fortunately 32mm=1.259" so a 1 1/4 crows foot socket fits fine. i tracked down the snap on truck and gladly spent $28 to save pulling that cover!
it was cool becuase the truck guy asked me what kind of car i was working on, and when i told him he smiled and said "oil cooler hose, huh?" winning my eternal loyalty.
