Hello Nor Cal,
We are going to go at it again this weekend 5/11-12/02 in a effort of rebuilding my 951 engine. All are invited to come help or watch this wonderful event. If you would like to know more about about has been taking place go to search and type in Barn raisin. I look forward to seeing anyone and everyone.

Cheers,
Gabe <img src="graemlins/burnout.gif" border="0" alt="[burnout]" />

hey gabe, i just tried to email you and it bounced... did you quit your job or something?

i'm going to be down in south pasadena this weekend visiting my woman but my return trip will have me near gilroy on sunday night. i'll give you a call when i get in the area and see if you are still working.

chris... i heard from deni that you were going to be doing some suspension work on your car... did that already happen? if not, when are you planning to dig into that? if you are interested in another set of hands or just don't mind someone observing, i'd love to stop by and check it out.

Love to join you guys, but it's mother's day this weekend. It would be damn near suicidal for me to show up.

The front end is apart. The rebuilt a-arms came in yesterday and the tool Deni mentioned is in the mail. I'll be in LA then driving up the coast until Wed. Thurs. I might go to Thunderhill to check out the OTC. After that, I'll be putting it all back together, fine tuning ride height, and getting the alignment to a drivable state. You're welcome to come by at any time. I'll let you know when I plan to start.

Can't make it to Gilroy today. Too much to do before the trip to LA.

yeah, just email the address, or just post it.. or better yet, just the off-ramp off of the 101 would work, i can figure out the rest (from prev. experience).

Chris, Thanks for the directions.

Guys, I worked the breakfast in bed angle, came up with a swank Mom's Day present for my wife, and ended up with permission to head on over to Gilroy to meet y'all. Showed up just past 3:00 to an empty driveway and homestead (no porsches anyways), checked out Bill's wonderful house and met his really pissed off German Shepard through a very thick and comfortably secure front door. Bummer for me... hopefully it translated to Gabes car being complete and running with no need to hang around. I came over on motorcycle, too much sunday traffic over hecker pass, was looking to do a little 951/CBR1100 drag action

Hope to do a social with the norcal contingency sometime...

later,

Steve there's lots of work yet to be done on Gabe's car! We didn't get together today though because of the holiday. I'm guessing Bill took the family out for some good food and/or fun. I'm pretty sure we'll be doing the rebuild both days next weekend and Gabe should be posting something. Don't give up we still need lots of help!

Chris,

Good to hear that our dog is doing her job!

The motor has the crank/rods/pistons/oil pump/pan installed. We could not install the balance shafts due to a missing front seal. That is where we stopped on Saturday.

I would not be alive today, if I did not set aside the whole day on Sunday for my wife (she does deserve it after all). We went to Bonfonte Gardens in Gilroy. It is a great place to spend the day.

We should resume assembly next Saturday.
