He thinks it does 160 because that's the biggest number on the speedometer.

Then mine does 165.

Of course, I only do this on FAA approved roads.

he emailed me back
"Hello,
This car has no RUF accesories. Alot of people realy think it does
because it runs so clean. I have drove many porsche 944 and 944
turbos.
This is the best running porsche 944 I have ever drove.
It is slower than the turbo off the line but top end this car will
outrun anything I have driven.
I have drove this porsche 160 mph, It handles the speed well.
The morning I had it 160 it was still dark, no wind and the air was
cool. Perfect enviroment for driving.
I dont think that you can take off and run 160 every day.
Call me if you have any questions: 502-893-3777
David Coomer"

WoW!!! i didnt know a 944 could do 160 with stock gears and so few modifications. HAHAHAHAHA. hmmm... the top end of an n/a can beat a turbo?? good thing i own an n/a

He e mailed me back too!
Hello,
I have drove that car 160 one time.
It will not leave the line fast but it does have great top end
performance.
All the turbos I have driven have ran like crap;

Can you believe this guy?, He got me real mad. So I made fun of his car, and told him off.

Maybe he's not a liar, and his speedo's just way off and he actually thinks he got up to 160.

Being towed on a really fast tow truck?

or maybe it was on a dolly behind a modded supra twin turbo?

heh Throttle cam does nothing to improve top speed, a chip and exhuast is good for mabye 15-20 hp MAX at the crank. You'd need well over 200 hp at the wheels to hit 160 mph.
