To check the chip, take it up to redline. If the rev limiter cuts in it is probably stock, if you can go noticeably beyond 6800 then the chip is not stock. Note that this test entertains some risk and you shouldn't think about it too long pushing 7000 RPM! Beware of loud banging noises and a big cloud of smoke. Also don't try this in 4th or 5th gear (5th may be inconclusive anyhow). Probably safer to take the chip out and check numbers. Beware of static.

87 944S with chip
new rod bearings and drilled crank because of chip.

It's gonna be fun this summer after I get my insurance paid off <img border="0" alt="[burnout]" title="" src="graemlins/burnout.gif" />

I got laughed at by the person on the phone that was with our insurance company when I curiously asked them what they would want if I had a 951! I dunno if they'd even cover me!

So tell me, how on EARTH do u make 13 per hour plus tips washing cars???? I wonder what kind of rates your shop charges. 13 per hour at 16 years old is damn bank, especially to be able to touch fine cars all day.
