Post 931 prices

can anyone tell me what an 80 931 with rebuilt motor w/ 25k miles and new turbo would be worth? I don't know it's exact condition, but from what I can tell it seems to be in great all around shape. I'm just looking for a range here, all help would be appreciated. Thanks

well having 2 of them i wish they were worth more, but if it was in MINT condition id be generous at $5k, but on average, a very clean, nice one at 3k. but typically no more than 2K, since you can routinely find them for +/- 1k.

The reason to by a 931 is to strip it and rip it.
bsically throw out what you dont need, meaning everything but the front seats, get a fiberglass hood, some 300lbs springs, a HD(home depot) boost controller and a Boost gauge. Oh, and a cheap intercooler!

A cheap pair for fiberglass race seats, harness bar and race belts, would be all you need to complete it.

If it needs a paint job, dont forget ot get rid of those ugly round side markers!

I agree w/ the prices, but not the philosophy... my 82 is way too nice to gut and rip and beat on like that. The 81, well, that's another story...

hehe, there's one near us that's been listed in autotrader @ like $10 or $15k for about 2 years now. Wonder if he'll ever get the hint.
