Post Are 944's gaining value?

Hey Guys,

In recent months it seems as if every 944 I'm lookin at is getting more and more expensive! Is it just me or are they really gaing value? I'm talkin about N/A's too! I'm still on the look for ANY 944 for ~2.5K or les, prefer body work, but good internals...and since I live in NY (NOT CA!!!) Every car is a smidge expensive!! I think 951 prices are risin, but...N/A?

Spring time = higher prices on sports cars, boats and other fun stuff. Best time to buy anything like that is in January when people just spent too much on Christmas and cant even use their 'toys' and would rather unload them than fall over them in the garage

I noticed that right now, on autotrader, most if not ALL 944 N/A's are in the $7-$8k range, and higher!?

I will be waiting till the fall. Hopefully, a ton of well maintained, just updated 944's will appear for the taking!

Since you asked, IMHO I think the 944 already hit rock bottom some time ago and now the only way the prices can go is up.

Yeah, Mike. When I do a national search, there are a lot of decent cars cheap! But within 300 miles, they do get more expensive.

Seems about 6 months ago, the people that had the cars for a year, put a ton of work into them maintainance wise, and then sold them, weren't getting their money back for the work. Now, people are asking $10k for an '88 NA w/ $3k in recent work. Know what I mean?

I would love to get a car that just had the belts, rollers, motor mounts, clutch, shocks done...for under $10k!

After the summer is the time I think!
