Sunset is getting me the correct part from Germany for $370ish plus shipping.

000-043-202-50 is the part number I was told is correct for the 944/968. I have verified the number in this PDF catalog on page 246:

VERY NICE DUDE,

I wanted to get the Tonneu cover (optional extra) but they are as rare as rocking horse ****
and OEM parts are about £400 IF available

not sure though, as its more hassle to keep putting on and taking off

either way

nice looking car

the wind def. sets it off just right

I know this thread is almost 8 years old, but does anyone have a photos of how it should be attached?
Exactly the photos of the mounts? My dealer has an incomplete one, we want to know what does it miss and how to fit it in the car.
Thanks in advance.

Default Try here

No affiliation, but I would be willing to bet they have attachment instructions.

Default Google

I just googled 'Porsche 944 cabrio wind deflector' and found a schematic at vertex as well as several images here at rennlist showing how to attach. After searching, be sure to change to image view.

Ok, I'll describe all the situation. Sorry for my English. I ain't lazy, just nobody knows how it should be.

My dealer has an item 000.043.202.50. It looks this way (have no full photo, but the mounts are visible)

But this is ALL the dealer has. Nothing more. I guessed this is not normal and asked to attach it on the car. Ofc they were unable. Honestly, they saw 944 for the first time
Here is the scheme

Okay, we guessed we need two rosettes to fit them here

This photo shows we're right.

But how to mount it on the back??
See the elastics with hooks? On the scheme they're hooks for them on the roof cover. But this cover is for 993, mine has no such hooks (or didn't noticed them, will take a look in some days).
And I can't understand what do this "straight" short handles do.

I think your best bet would be to send a private message to one or more of the guys in this thread who have one of these wind deflectors.

I sold my 944 years ago so I can't remember where the hooks go, I do remember however that the straight pens just go in behind the seatbacks, just push them in there, it sound wrong but thats the way its designed and it works.
If you own a cabrio (any cabrio) without a wind deflector you're missing out big time, they totaly transform the car.

Yes you need the two #7 adapters for the motor hub covers. Other than that, it's pretty straightforward I recall. I am not super impressed with the deflector, you have to leave the side windows up a ways also or air comes in over your shoulder and comes out between the seats.

You also have to take care to prevent the seat backs rubbing on or bending the deflector. You have to make sure you or your passenger do not adjust the seat so as to touch it. If close, rocking of the seat will rub on or bend it.
