Workin for da man in Scottsdale, AZ, it's like the song "my friends all drive Por-shays". Typical commute through town yields 8 - 12 late model 99x's of all kinds. Equal or greater number of Boxters. A few Cayennes and maybe a Cayman or two. The old 944s are rare - makes me feel exclusive. LOL.

More seriously, I think a visible population of older P-cars is directly related to the warmth and dryness of the climate. Lots in S. Cal and AZ, and least in NE U.S.

Neat thread - I've been from WV to Chicago and back, and now back to Chicago again, and have counted P-cars as a diversion while driving. To date - 5 944's, 1 951, 3 Cayennes, 3 Boxters, and exactly 1 911 (a very nice black 993 on the Dan Ryan in downtown Chicago), not counting the race cars at an SCCA National at Blackhawk Farms last weekend (1 914 and 2 996 GT3 Cups). On my last trip I hung out at a Chicago Region SCCA autocross where there were NO Porsches in a field of 125 cars!
