That is a good point, but frankly I'd rather not be on the elevated list. I know I am going to get spam regardless, but the less I get the better.
Sadly I started getting the most spam, and the most disgusting spam (****), when I allowed my e-mail address to be accessed on this list (notice you can only PM me now). There are lurkers around that get addresses however they can. And don't forget, an e-mail server has to be exposed to some degree to the rest of the world. If it isn't behind a firewall of some sort anybody can scan the server and find out all of the configured valid recipients. Don't forget bots.
