Recommend u read my previous saga post.
You may think I am crazy/stupid what ever, Check em for yourself. I believe the reason many are having trouble with the cam housing gasket, not the back cover gasket, leaking is because the original bolts are to long. I measured them last night and figure before you reach the torque spec the bolts have already bottomed.
I added one typical hardware store lock washer to each bolt to shorten its length.
I also used my friends technique: Clean mating surfaces with brake cleaner, I applied it to a clean rag and wiped everything. Apply 3M yellow weather strip adhesive to the cam housing and gasket, follow 3m directions. Adhere the two together and place on a flat surface applying pressure. Wax paper comes in handy, it won't stick to it. Apply permatex copper RTV to the head surface and bolt the cam housing onto the head.
