Default cudos to Russell Berry!

Well, last night I was installing my 944S maxhp chip, and I couldn't for the life of me get the boards to pop apart. I emailed Russell, he promptly replied and offered me his home telephone # to better assist me.

Great guy! Anyway, I popped it apart, installed the chip...presto it fired and ran smooth immediately. Woohoo!

I can't try her out though...my car is on jackstands awaiting new camber plates and castor blocks.

Watch for the "944S maxhp first drive thread" coming soon....

Yeah, I've been waiting on that too. But with gas hitting $4 this summer, I'm not sure if I can spring for premium

Gas in the U.S. is cheap compared to what Europeans are paying.

The rising price of gas isn't such a bad thing if you look at it in the long term. We're gonna have to get off gas as a fuel eventually...

And I thought the chips for the 2.5L 8V N/As were supposed to be available by now...?

Then our 944's will be seen as "recreational vehicles" and old technology that we just hang on to.

I have the 944max chip and I can just say hope I never have to drive with the stock chip ever again. Anyone that can afford it must buy it.

Oh and by the way Russell is a great guy.

It comes out about the same price per mile after you have to buy premium.
