84 944 hesitation

My 944 acts as if its starved for fuel and hesitates when accelerating before the engine is warm. It also runs the same way on a warm restart, but just for a minute or so. What do you guys think?

unplug the O2 sensor and see if the hesitation changes.........if so replace it.
