Default Paragon short shifter kit....

Cudos to them...bought, shipped and received in a week or so.

I installed it yesterday... works premium. I had to drill out the shifter rod end though, my only gripe...the shaft on the SS was a little snug to fit on while installing the transaxle. I had enough in my hands doing the install solo.

More projects to go:

MaxHP chip install
new magnaflow SS muffler
new plastic bushings at shifter (did the drill-out procedure)
awaiting my 18 inch TTs...

Thanks for reading, I'll be here all week.

I know sometimes people aren't real big on the 18s, but they really improved the road feel and smoothness in my car. That may seem a little counterintuitive, but its the truth. My old wheels were 16" phonies that I was merged into a curb by a trucker with, so they were pretty bad when I replaced them. The only problem with 18s is the cost of the tires. I found some pretty good deals at Costco. When 1 was destroyed (nail in the shoulder of the tire), they gave me cash for the amount of tread that was left. They couldn't get anymore, I had to get one from America's tire. It was cool to get $100 toward the purchase price, though.

Rick,
Do you have an sound clips/videos of you exhaust? Once I finish this head gasket/timing belt/water pump job I'll be looking for a nice exhaust, one with great tone, but easy on the ears...I'm asking you because in my opinion the 16valve cars sound a little different, and was hoping you had an example.

FYI...I priced 18s all around, and found that INCLUDING shipping, duty, etc, Tirerack was the cheapest...ranging from $800-$1200 depending on brand.

Once my 18s arrive, I'll be ordering new tires from them.

If you have Costco near you (not sure about Canada, I know they have at least 1 in Mexico), you might try them. I got all 4 for $680 US.

IIRC I think Crooster's are 16 inch BBS. Hey buy them, so he can buy mine!
