Default 944 Spring Dimensions

I've searched, but perhaps am not using the right terms.

Street/Track 83 NA. Slowly but surely beefing up suspension. Have a 28mm sway in the front. Have some new bits coming for the back. I -though- I had 86 951 struts/springs to swap in, but that's a bust. I have a line on someone who can get me springs at cost, but I have to provide dimensions. Spring Rate is 250lbs for Weltmeister kits, and M030s are 28 N/mm. I think 250 lbs is all I need/should have... thoughts?

More importantly, does anyone have a link to the dimensions, Inner Diameter, Outer Diameter, Stock Length, for 944 springs? I'll have 15 cookies for the track, and have 15 fuchs for the street. I figure 1.25 in is the most I can lower it without issue.

The length of the spring will be determined by the amount you want to lower the car. Stiffer springs will not compress as much when the chassis settle on the suspension so you need shorter springs than stock. Is pretty straight forward math to calculate but youll need to know how much weight is on each corner of the car to be able to do it. Hopefully someone that has some springs lying around will measure the ID for you.

250lb springs in the front with stock torsion bars in the rear will make your car push like a barn door. Don't do it unless you upgrade the rear suspension too. With the rear 50% stiffer than the front almost all of the understeer will be gone.

Agreed. I have Turbo Torsion Bar and Sway Bar on the way for the rear.

Is there anyone who has the Weltmeister 250lb, 1.25 lowering springs, who can give me the dimensions? Inner Diameter, Outer Diameter, Height?

Couple questions for you:

28mm front sway bar? Weltmeister? There is no 28mm porsche front bar.

"Turbo" t-bars are the same 23.5mm as what would already be in your car, same parts - unless you are getting M030/Turbo S bars?

Weltmeister product line is made for Porsches, and the 200 and 250 lb/in springs are made to specifically fit 944s. OD and ID of the weltmeister springs, are the same as stock springs - they fit stock upper and lower strut perches. They will not fit M030, S2, or 968 lower strut perches.
