my first '44 was an 83...I removed the front spolier to fix it as it resembled the above ones...and I removed almost 10 lbs of bondo!

I reglassed it with a product called Marglass...it is fibreglass strand re-inforced body filler. you can seriously make a fender out of this stuff. If you GENTLY heat it up with a heat gun you can mold or end it into a better shape, close to original, rough sand with 50 grit to give it a good bonding surface, then screw some metal supports onto the underside with stainless screws, cover with marglass then grind the screw heads off and putty. turned out good..I also cheated a bit as I "rocker guarded" the lower portion of the spoiler, say 2 inches, they resprayed it. It looked damn well close to new again.

...but my wife went shopping and rubbed a parking curb and took a hunk out of the front of the g d f'in #@*XXX*!!!#@!! thing.
