Default Help removing transaxle

So I'm trying to get the transaxle out... Is there a way to get the drive shaft to rotate without using the wheels? I've tried to put it in gear and it will not go into any... when I rotate the wheels the driveshaft doesn't rotate with it

Use the engine to turn the shaft via the 24mm bolt on the front of the crank.

Or hold the clutch pedal down with a rod between the seat and the pedal.
