Default So Cal get together 3/29 for another timing belt and engine install

Zoltan944 is going to work on his timing belt and I am going to help while installing the engine in my 88 along with stripping it further to lighten it up. Thanks to Michael aka 153bigblock/Ninefofo, the engine going into the car is very clean (damn that carb cleaner and gas can make you dizzy). Anyone who is interested in watching or helping can come on over and hang out.

Thanks for having me Frank. I will drive up in the morning and get my belt done and help with the motor install and hang for a good part of the day. Anyone else coming up I'm ready to wrench!

Damnit Frank, our timing sucks!

I keep looking for an excuse to make an unscheduled trip up there but the 29th is the Mrs Bday. I've gotten pretty good at getting away with "spaced out" anniversary's, but a bday will land me in the dog house.

I have to check for that date. Are you around tomorrow (Thu)?

PS - Kevin, I have spaced on both.

Will it be in the Los Angeles Area or outlying?

I dunno what's wrong with my S2. At 3000 to 3200 RPM it vibrates weird, the shiftings kinda odd, have to really match RPMs and when I let off gas, it feels like it "clunka" but no noise. Getting worried, that and the suspension feels odd, maybe new tires affected it, not right PSI.

It's put away for now until i can start investigating.

I don't know how far I can drive it without undue stress or damage.

Darn... Boss just told me we'll be working the 28th and 29th, and all weekends in April with maybe only 2 Sundays off, 10 Hr days.

I guess the car will have to wait....

Sorry if the timing sucks for some of you guys, but I never get any free weekends which is why I look around for weekday meetups. I have this weekend free and really wanna get this t-belt done and hang out. Glad Frank still has an open schedule

Michael, I will be here tomorrow as I got the short block back. Will get 2 more heads back from the machine shop. I also got the caged shell, however, the chassis has been cut and welded from 2 different cars so I can't use it for racing. I don't think the seller knew the car was like that but would like to talk to him.

Kevin, I plan to build another 450 sqft room next to the garage complete with a pool table and other goodies. I got rid of about 10 cars and need to get rid of about another 12 before I can have access for the concrete truck. I have to check with the city for permits and all. If they don't let me build what I want, I think I want a basketball court in the back yard.

I will be adding an exhaust install as my stock one rattled apart and maybe a rear bumper swap as the rattled apart exhaust melted part of it

I may have to work OT that day, but if not, I'll be there too!
