Exclamation AHH! Someone please help!

So I took my 924S out to dinner today. And when I got back, I saw a puddle of fluid in the garage where I park my car. I think it's oil, because it looks and feels like it. Also, my oil pressure guage isn't on five anymore, it's on 3. As I was driving it, I did notice a sound that sounded like air coming out of a tire. Someone help me!

Also, the puddle was about 14 inches long, and 10 inches wide.

lol pretty hard to help you with that description.

maybe put the car on jackstands and get under it with a light to get a better look??

if it's not obvious where it is leaking, I'd suggest cleaning the engine with a degreaser then using flourescent dye in the oil and using a blacklight to fidn the leak. This is what I did when my oil pump was gushing oil and needed to be resealed.

Sorry about the bad description, i'm really worried about it, and just wrote it fast, lol. I'll check everything out tommarow. Is it something I should be hugely worried about though? Thanks.

well I wouldn't drive it with it leaking that much oil. I'd put it on ramps or jackstands and get under with a light first to get an idea of where it's coming from.

When oil normally leaks out, where does it usually occur? Could it be becuase I havn't driven it in about a month or so?

again hard to say without looking. could be from anywhere, oil pan gasket, oil pump seal to the block, front engine seals, balance shaft housing, rear main seal.

I suggest putting the car on ramps then look for the leak. if you can't find it because your whole engine is covered in oil then you may want to use a few cans of engine dgreaser and get the engine squeeky clean then it will be easier to spot a leak.

lol you can still drive it around, so long as you carry a case of oil to throw a quart in every once in a while.

Seriously, jack that thing up. It could be anything from your oil pump to your head gasket to you just being silly and not tightening down your oil filter hard enough. If there's one thing I learned being on the list, it's that there's plenty of people willing to help, but you gotta get your hands dirty a little bit if you want an accurate troubleshooting discussion.

Yes, 140 sq. inches of oil patch under the car exceeds Porsche's specs for oil leaks by 138 sq. inches.

Unless it's a 911, which would then be on the low side of the spec.
