How hard is it? My driver side has fallen off, and some other one has fallen also. I plan on updating the side mouldings to the new side mouldings that the 85.5 944's got. (just that one strip on the door) But if i took them off, would the car look horrible?

I'm in the middle of doing this now. DEFINITELY heat the strips before peeling them back. You want as much of the adhesive tape to come off as you can with the molding pieces. The stuff that was left behind on my car was like a foam tape on the outside with a solid rubber strip down the middle. That strip does not want to come off for anything. I use a plastic putty knife and razor blade to get most of the hard stuff off, but there is still a dark line. The only two things I haven't tried to get that off are the eraser wheel thing and rubbing compound. About to bust out the Porter Cable and see how it likes that!

On the 924S they just peel off.
I have seen a pic of a 924S with 944 rub strips and it looked quite nice actually.
Good Luck.
