OT: my friend has an early 944 sitting in his backyard w/ no drivetrain, I'm already stealing a brake calliper, what are the telltale signs of a manual rack (it turns realll easy now cause there's no engine over the wheels!) They may have taken out the reservior too so that wouldn't be a giveaway.

The manual racks have a much smaller housing since they don't store a ton of fluid inside, have a much smaller 'head' on them where the shaft enters the rack, and have a big adjustment bolt on the front.
The power racks have a big fat middle section, and fluid lines coming off the back and down each side.
Very easy to tell the difference between the two

If you end up with the phone dials and break up the set, I could take one of them.
My alignment shop tells me that one of mine is bent although I haven't been able to confirm this.
I assume the RH dash vent is toast but if not I would buy that from you also.
Thanks for saving parts!
